CORPORATE OUTSTANDING AWARD GOES TO PROGRESS

Progress Cleaning Services Limited Directors Ian and Kevin Robson - received their City and Guilds NVQ LEVEL 2 Window Cleaning Corporate Outstanding Company Award at the recent Windex 2010 Exhibition. Sponsored jointly by Quartz Publishing & Exhibitions Limited and South Thames College – and admirably organized by the IMPACT43 Group – the Windex 2010 Exhibition Awards are designed to give well-deserved, public recognition to both companies and individuals who demonstrate ongoing commitment to the City and Guilds Level 2 in Window Cleaning.

20 HIGH-LEVEL CLEANERS BECOME SAFER AT WORK

Twenty Experienced All Clean Staff attend Working at Height Awareness Training. All Clean Services Limited, one of the South East’s Leading Independent Window Cleaning Contractors, recently sent twenty of the company’s cleaners on a very successful Working at Height Awareness Day. The day was run by Andrew Willis, Working at Height Consultant and Senior Partner with the IMPACT43 Group.

IMPACT43 LAUNCH EMERGENCY FIRST AID

The HSE approved 'Emergency First Aid at Work' Course has been specially designed for Window Cleaners The course covers First Aid Management for harness suspension when working at height - and concentrates on a study of the vital business of Suspension Trauma Recovery. Several High Level Window Cleaning Companies have already completed for the course, including London based Gaze a Glaze and Tailor Made Window Cleaning Limited.

ANDREW WILLIS SPEAKS AT WINDEX 2010

Andrew Willis, a working at height consultant and City and Guilds A1 Assessor who sits on the committee for the Federation of Window Cleaning (FWC), certainly captured the attention of attendees of the Windex exhibition last month (March 2010). His well-researched estimation that an incredible 90% of all commercial properties - and therefore of contractors working on those properties - have significant risk liabilities raised quite a few eyebrows.

DAVID WILLIS GAINS NEBOSH CERTIFICATE WITH DISTINCTION

Having studied for a Level 3 Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety, David Willis of IMPACT43 has passed with distinction. David is delighted with his achievement. ‘This has been a busy couple of years for us as a company, and for me as an individual,’ he said. ‘Fitting in all the training courses and exams has been quite a challenge, and this result is very gratifying.’

RCS Working at Height Training Day

Michael Darmanin, Regional Operations Manager for RCS, commented on the vital role of such high level window cleaning training in what is viewed as a potentially dangerous working environment. ‘We have always taken training seriously,’ he said. ‘we spent some considerable time examining potential training providers. We needed people who could work with us and embrace the RCS ethos of safety and customer service.’

Impact Invests In Clean Safe Partnership

The IMPACT43 Group has become a major stake shareholder in the newly-formed Clean Safe Partnership. With a 75% shareholding in the Partnership, IMPACT43 will launch the Clean Safe Programme at the FWC Exhibition in October. In order to help cleaning companies expand into the commercial sector, IMPACT has designed a Five Point Training Programme specifically targeted at SMEs.

TWENTY FIVE WINDOW CLEANERS GAIN NVQ LEVEL 2

During the last three months, Central Window Cleaning Company Ltd. has successfully put twenty five window cleaners through the new City and Guilds NVQ2 Qualification. The NVQ2 training programme was run by Central’s Health and Safety Manager, Ken Benmore, and it represents the latest and most substantial commitment Central has made to intensive training so far.
